Charlie Lystrup, Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Technology Officer, Charlie Lystrup oversees all aspects of the technical infrastructure of WCG. These systems enhance the guest experience, improve employee productivity, and provide invaluable management reporting tools leading to exceptional value in all areas.
In his 22+ year career, Mr. Lystrup has held positions in manufacturing, financial services, and the hospitality sectors. His 14 years at WCG have been very challenging and he prides himself on providing excellent vision for the organization, building alliances with other ownership groups, and meeting the needs of customers, employees, and ownership. A key operating principle he has borrowed from a mentor is to maximize efficiency by “not confusing activity with accomplishment”. As an application of this principle, extensive research occurs prior to partnering with vendors resulting in long-term relationships and a highly stable technological infrastructure.
Mr. Lystrup graduated Cum Laude from Chapman University in Orange, California with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. He later earned a Master's in Business Administration from California State University at Long Beach. He also holds the Certified Hotel Technology Professional designation.
