Herman Turk, Vice President of Operations

Herman Turk

As Vice President of Operations, Herman Turk has the responsibility for overseeing the WCG portfolio of hotels which includes hotels in the Embassy Suites by Hilton, Renaissance and Marriott brands. Primary focus areas include revenue maximization, hotel profitability, brand standard compliance as well as guest and associate satisfaction. Herman is part of the corporate team that assists with the transition of new properties joining the management company. Herman works very closely along with the rest of the above property management team to deliver a cohesive and united approach to the oversight of WCG’s owned and managed assets and revenue generation.

Herman has 33 years of experience in the Hospitality & Tourism industry. Accomplishments include “General Manager of the Year” award for Renaissance hotels in 2001 as well as “Resident Manager of the Year” award for Marriott hotels in 1984. Herman recently served on the board of directors for the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority as well as the Pack Square Conservancy. He began his career at the Hotel Roanoke, and has served as General Manager for 18 years at Marriott hotels in Roanoke, Virginia and Chattanooga, Tennessee as well as at the Renaissance hotel in Asheville, North Carolina.

Herman graduated Cum Laude from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia in 1979 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with majors in Management and Marketing.
